There’s an odd looking structure in the picture labeled “Molltal Glacier, Austria.” My first thought was it looks like a boat or something supported on a pedastal, which would be silly.
I’m guessing it’s the lower terminus of a ski lift or tram car run.

Tropical tidbits uses colours that only show total snow depth up to 110cm. http://www.metcheck.com/WEATHER/gfscharts.asp uses different colours that show total snow depth up to 200cm. They’re showing that parts of Austria could get at least 150cm or 5 feet of snow in the next 5 or 6 days. Given that forecast models are pretty accurate in the short term and become less accurate after 7 days or longer these sort depths are highly likely to occur.
